Following on from our round table discussions on Youth and the Environment, the team headed to the Rich Mix centre on Saturday the 5th March to visit an all day exhibition that explored different ways groups are resisting the 'corporate power' through discussions, workshops, debates, ideas and action about how the world can be a better place for people with democracy comes before profit.
The young journalists visited some of the workshops disscussing some of the issues such as poverty, fair trade, history of money, different views about Islam in Britain and how Islam has contributed to modern western world.
The young journalists interviewed many different people at the event who were there for many different reasons. One of the interview's was a resident from West Bank in Palestine here in Britain for a visit for 15 days. The second interview is a student who was giving a lecture about the history of money.
We also interviewed another student who discussed the different views on Islam in Britain today
The journalists collected a few materials from different workshops in the event e.g. badges, booklets and leaflets to share with others in the group that could not attend.
